Hey friends!

I have a new little ritual to share with you, and I’ve been making it three to four times a week!

It’s an anti-inflammatory shot - ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne, water, and lemon. Takes about five minutes, it costs almost nothing, and it makes me feel SO healthy doing it.

I used to buy those little shots in the plastic bottles (in the juice section). But this just makes me feel so much better because everything is fresh and I know exactly where the ingredients came from.

But before I give you how to make it, let me talk about the WHY - because as you guys know I love talking about the benefits and what they’re doing for your health.

Not all inflammation is bad…

Acute inflammation is actually your body’s healing system. You cut your finger, you catch a cold, and your body sends inflammation in to fix it. That’s fine and healthy for you.

The problem most of us are dealing with is chronic inflammation - when that response gets stuck in the ON position the inflammation is kinda simmering there for months or years .. so many of us are walking around with it and don’t even know it. And it’s linked to a huge amount of what makes people feel run down, puffy, achy, and can lead to very serious health issues.

So anything I can do to calm it down, I’m all in!

Every single ingredient here works with each other to quiet inflammation:

Ginger - one of the most traditional anti-inflammatory roots out there, and it’s so soothing on digestion too. I like to do 2 inches with skin on.

Turmeric - the classic anti-inflammatory root everyone talks about, and for good reason. The active compound (curcumin) is genuinely one of the most researched natural anti-inflammatories we have. I like to do 1.5 inches with the skin on.

Black pepper - THIS is the non-negotiable! Turmeric on its own is actually pretty poorly absorbed by your body. But black pepper contains a compound called piperine that boosts curcumin absorption dramatically. Never skip it! 1/4 a teaspoon is enough here.

Cayenne - a little kick of warmth to get things moving + support circulation. Plus I love how it tastes in this combo. 1/4 a teaspoon is what I go for.

Lemon - the juice from 1 lemon. Bright, fresh, and a good hit of vitamin C to round it all out.

About a 1/2 a cup to 1 cup of water. I like to use spring water or reverse osmosis. No tap water here!

This only takes about 5 minutes to make two shots. You can make one for today and one for tomorrow, but the thing that makes it the easiest for me is making it in my Beast blender .. I have to gush for a second because it is hands down the best blender I’ve ever used.

So easy, so quick to clean, and pretty enough that I actually leave it out on my counter. If you’ve been on the fence about one, this is your sign! I have a 15% off link for you here.

After I posted this recipe on my Instagram, a lot of people have also been asking about the copper water dispenser in the background of my video - that’s linked too. I’ve got the blender, the copper dispenser, and everything I use for this all in one collection → the exact things I use.

This shot is exactly the kind of thing that adds up. One small, good, anti-inflammatory habit stacked onto your day, alongside a diet full of real food. That’s where the real results live - in the little things you do over and over. And this one just happens to be delicious and make you feel amazing while you do it.

Give it a try this week and tell me what you think!
